Camp Bonaventure Fishing & River Report, July 9th to July 16th, 2023

What more can I say, great water conditions, great fishing, and very happy guests. This past week has been a perfect week to spend at a salmon camp. Our salmon are plentiful, and our anglers are all happy.

Last week rainfall and frequent thunderstorms gave the rivers a considerable rise in water, just what we needed to keep conditions perfect.

The Bonaventure River is flowing at 29(m³/s).

The Grand Cascapedia is flowing at 38(m³/s).

The Petite Cascapedia is flowing at 21(m³/s).

With higher water levels we are using bigger flies. We have the Stone Ghost, Blue Charm, Undertaker and Green Butt. Wets worked very well last week but dry’s stole the show. Again, it’s been Green, Blue, and Dark brown.

Here’s to Health, Happiness and Tight Lines!
